Why warm up with Coast Run?
Crashes rarely come from a lack of skill — they come from a lack of attention. Coast Run is a 60-second hazard-perception drill: your eyes learn to scan well ahead, read the surface, choose a clean line and react before you arrive. Those are the exact reflexes that keep you upright on loose gravel, through roadworks, and around the pothole you'd otherwise spot a half-second too late.
Run a couple of laps in the car park before you set off — it genuinely wakes your brain up and shifts you into "ride mode." It won't check your tyre pressures for you, but a sharp, switched-on rider is the cheapest safety upgrade there is.
Done warming up? Sort your load for real over at Pack My Bike, or plan the route in the Journal.
